Description

Known as the ‘ Silent Killer’, CO occurs when fuels burn incompletely, with common sources being boilers, gas fires and hobs and solid fuel burners. However, carbon monoxide can also pass through walls, so you would also be at risk if a neighbouring property had a leak. We have been monitoring it since and I’m pleased to say that the issue appears to have been resolved so no requirement to issue a replacement. The FA3313X4 is the ideal replacement for end-of-life FireAngel CO-9B alarms, featuring the highest level of CO detection for your home. With intelligent CO sensing technology and built-in features including Sleep Easy function and Alarm Memory, this alarm will keep your family protected from carbon monoxide. Remove the disabling clip by pulling it out of the alarm and retain the disabling tab for future use. FireAngel’s FA3322 digital carbon monoxide alarm features many icons on the LCD screen. View our guide below to help you understand what each represents.

FireAngel’s new range of carbon monoxide alarms use intelligent sensing technology for a rapid reaction to rising levels of CO. However, if you notice any visible damage to the alarm during cleaning, including any severe staining or dust, we recommend you replace the alarm as the sensor within could be damaged. Does cleaning my alarm really help stop the beeping? With the alarm memory function, the red LED will flash to provide a visual indication of a previous CO alarm activation. The advice below is purely provided for ‘best practice’ and should not be used independently. Please note, these alarms are not suitable for homes in Scotland under the new Fire & CO regulations. FireAngel smoke, heat and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms are designed to be as maintenance-free as possible, however there are a few steps that must be followed to ensure your alarms continue to perform correctly.

Find out more about what you should expect from your landlord for CO safety in your home. Get protected todayIf there is a partition in a room, the alarm should be located on the same side of the partition as the potential source. Read our handy guide for more information on correctly installing your alarms or discover why your Pro Connected alarms may be beeping in our guide. Dust contamination: How do I clean my alarm? Once your CO alarm is activated and tested, choose to install the alarm by mounting on a wall or free standing on a shelf. Your alarm should be placed 1-3 metres away from any fuel burning appliance in your home, in living rooms or bedrooms. Once your CO alarm is activated, this icon or ‘heartbeat’ will continue to flash a green LED in power mode. If a battery fault or warning has been silenced for a period of 8 hours and times out during night time, the silence period will automatically be extended once for a further 8 hours (night silence will increase the counter by 1 for sleep easy). Please note, this feature is not available with the FA3820 or FA3313 alarms. Understanding FA3322 digital display indicators Experience both audible and visual safety warnings with the digital screen, which will change colour to indicate different incident types for clear safety advice.
