Description

The most common use is single serving cups of hot water for drinks like tea, coffee, hot chocolate, herbal teas and night time drinks. As an assist to the different sizes of cups you choose from, the removable, easily cleaned, the drip tray is height adjustable. Put it all the way down for your morning jumbo-size coffee and up to the top for your afternoon cup of tea. Don’t worry about being able to see into the depths of any cup/mug/bowl you use as the sprout of this dispenser has an LED light that shines down into the top of your vessel.

A pot not dissimilar to those used in catering, this hot water dispenser holds 3.5 litres and provides 24 cups/12 mugs of hot water for those very busy environments. A standard cup size is around 300ml of water. This statistic lets you know how many cups of water you can get out of a full tank of boiled water before having to refill. Capacity This depends on how often you descale your hot water dispenser and how well you look after it! If you descale it regularly and clean it regularly, there is no reason why it cannot last for 5-10 years. Is It Safe to Drink From a Water Dispenser With Limescale? If you find kettles bothersome to lift, fill, carry or pour, or just like the idea of dispensing a speedy cup of hot water without waiting around, a hot water dispenser could be a practical solution. Once you have flushed the system using the descaling product, you must clean the water tank thoroughly. If you don’t, the next time you use it, the next time you use it, there will be a distinct taste and smell of either citric acid or vinegar! GENEROUS CAPACITY - FAMILY-FRIENDLY: With an impressive 2.5 litre capacity, our one cup hot water dispenser is a true game-changer. It's larger than your average one cup kettle, making it perfect for large families or busy offices. Its rated voltage of AC 220-240V and a frequency of 50/60Hz ensures it's ready to perform reliably whenever you need it. Tall mugs such as latte glasses fit comfortably, and you can remove the drip tray if required to accommodate. It can also be raised so smaller cups or espresso glasses are closer to the pouring spout, limiting the amount of splashing created. As with urns in general, the water tank is integrated into the body, which means that you would have to move the whole unit to a sink to fill it. While this is theoretically possible, the smaller of the two sizes holds 3.5 litres of water and the larger holds 5 litres and that would be a lot of weight to carry so filling the tank with a jug or bottle would probably be a better idea.

In terms of appearance, the Breville VKJ367-01 definitely has a lot going for it, in fact it’s one of the swishest kitchen appliances we’ve seen not just one of the swishest instant hot water dispensers. It’s also one of Breville’s third-generation instant hot water dispensers so it has a lot of functionality. Although this water dispenser has an in-built permanent limescale filter, the manufacturers recommend that, if you live in a hard water area, you should also manually regularly descale the water tank. Pros

Capacity - The Emperial dispenser has a capacity of 2.5 litres. This equates to about 10 cups of water, but this depends on your personal preferences. The Breville VKT124 has the sort of appearance you’re either going to love or hate. Stylistically it could look rather out of place in a traditional or rustic kitchen, but could be absolutely great in a minimalist or industrial one. Its headline feature is the fact that the drip tray moves up and down on a magnet so as to make it easier to fill cups and mugs of different sizes without creating drips. In fact the drip tray can be removed completely for the very largest mugs (or to clean it, it’s dishwasher-safe).

On the right of the front surface is a digital readout panel. From this, you can tell where your unit is in the process, how much water it’s heating up, to what temperature and whether it’ll dispense an amount automatically or wait for you to do it manually. You select the water temperature by using the small button underneath the LCD display. The Addis 516521 Thermo Pot Instant Thermal Hot Water Boiler Dispenser is another premium water heater. At 3.5L it’s the largest in our review and yet it also comes in an even larger 5L capacity.SAVE TIME & ENERGY – Instant hot and boiling water thanks to the powerful 2600 watt motor for high performance and save up to 50% energy compared to standard electric kettles. Instant hot water dispensers can also be useful for other standard household tasks such as filling hot-water bottles or getting hot water for cleaning. As a general rule, we’d advise you to descale your hot water dispenser once per month if you’re in a hard water area and you use it a lot. Or descale it once every two months if you’re in a soft water area and you don’t use it very often.
