The Ei144e can only be used as part of a fire detection system if interconnected with Ei Electronics mains powered Smoke Alarms. It can be interconnected via hardwire to communicate with compatible Ei Alarms and accessories. Up to 20 devices can be interconnected. Interconnecting the Ei144e with the Ei1529RC enables the user to Locate, Silence and Test the Alarms remotely. The Alarm automatically monitors the battery every 40 seconds. If it is depleted it will give a short beep every 40 seconds. Interconnection of the Aico EI144E heat alarm with other accessories and alarms is possible either via a hard-wired connection or via wireless RadioLINK interconnection to minimise disruption and mess. The EI144E is also compatible with a RadioLINK Base to interconnect wirelessly.

Mains powered Ei Electronics smoke and heat alarms require a 230V AC power supply and up to 12 alarms can be hardwire interlinked in one system.
