De kinderen bij mij in de bovenbouw zijn er l dol op, ze smullen er van, ze verslinden ze! Ik vind dat zo leuk om te zien, want zelfs kinderen die niet van lezen zeggen te houden, vinden de boek enorm leuk. Het boek leest als een trein en de afwisseling in lettertype zal jonge lezers zeker aanspreken. Deze graphic novel ziet er met alle leuke illustraties speels uit en is een aangename afwisseling in het lezen van andere jeugdboeken. Ik begrijp wel dat kinderen dol zijn op deze reeks van Andy en Terry. De boeken zijn humoristisch en bevatten veel knotsgekke illustraties. Ze zijn geschikt voor lezers vanaf ongeveer 8 jaar oud, maar ook oudere kinderen en zelfs volwassenen kunnen erg genieten van de creatieve en fantasierijke verhaallijnen. Deze serie heeft al veel kinderen geïnspireerd om te lezen en plezier te beleven aan verhalen. Deze humoristische graphic novel zorgt ervoor dat kinderen weer gaan lezen, ook kinderen die uit zichzelf niet snel een boek zouden pakken. Het boek staat namelijk vol met kleine en grote tekeningen, echt op elke bladzijde! Dit is reeds het 12de boek in de reeks van De waanzinnige Boomhut en mijn zoon en ik blijven fan! The story continues with Andy and Terry in their treehouse. They have expanded it to 26-stories, and there are new distractions to keep them from writing subsequent books. They now have a bumper car rink, an antigravity chamber, a Maze of Doom, and many other things. The Maze of Doom is so complicated that no one has made their way out of it.
