The minimum child weight for this carrier is 16 pounds and maximum weight, including your child, gear and the weight of the carrier itself, is 48.5 pounds. In terms of comfort, given that my son is 2 stone plus, this carrier offers a very supportive carry and suits different body types. I’m 5’4 and slightly built and my husband is 6’0 and built like a rugby player and this carrier works equally well for both of us. The straps and waist belt are really well padded. I created Baby Can Travel as a way to not only inspire parents to travel with babies and toddlers, but to help them be less stressed about it. On Baby Can Travel, you’ll find advice and gear recommendations from REAL PARENTS! So what are the best toddler carriers and preschool carriers for 2023? Which is the right one for your family? Well, as I explained in Do I Need A Toddler Carrier? the most important thing is that your carrier fits both your toddler – and you.Snuggled in close to mom or dad helps some toddlers sleep. You will also be especially grateful when you glance down and see them snoozing, saving you the time and effort you would have otherwise had to spend trying to get them to sleep in an unfamiliar location. Can you carry a 2 year old in a carrier? Is there a toddler carrier for a 3 year old? Can you put a 4 year old in a carrier? Yes, Yes, and Yes No! I wish. I’m too indecisive for that to ever happen. When it comes to aesthetics the Beco is my favorite, though since I began writing this post Líllébaby has released more prints that I love. I just find the Beco prints to be closer to my own taste, they choose modern patterns I would easily put into my home. Líllébaby and Tula are more colorful and playful. Tula patterns are also ones that seem more for the baby than the parent overall. I thought my babywearing, diapering, breastfeeding days were completely over. My “baby” was almost 5, out of diapers, no longer nursing, and had stopped letting me carry him years ago. The last bit of “baby” I had from him was that he still crept into bed with me in the middle of the night for much appreciated snuggles on all sides.

Beco Gemini Baby Carrier – Beco Baby

My son is very tall for his age, but still wants to be carried all the time. He also has a hard time napping when he is not in my arms. When he outgrew his Baby Bjorn, I started to panic. Seeing how fast he got too tall for his first carrier, I want to make sure that the next one we bought would last a long time. I also wanted to find a way for my husband to wear the baby to relieve me sometimes. This was the first toddler carrier I tried. The Beco, stylistically, is most appealing to me and the options are almost all ones I adore. For the extra fashionable there are “Bekni” carriers made from woven Tekni fabric and they’re TDF (and also a good bit more price-wise).Try putting on the carrier at home, with baby (and parent ideally) fed and rested. If baby starts getting fussy, take a short walk around the house and a few breaths, and continue when you're both ready. I have to admit, it’s been really great babywearing again. I missed carriers and having my “baby” close to me. It’s not the same as wearing a squishy newborn in a ring sling or a chubby infant in the SSC but it’s been really nice to reconnect with something I loved so intensely about having babies. If you are looking for the perfect way to safely and conveniently carry your little one close to your heart, look no further than the award-winning Beco Baby Carriers! It also includes a reservoir sleeve for keeping both toddlers and parents hydrated. The nylon carrier weighs 7 pounds and 4 ounces in all, and is capable of carrying toddlers that weigh anywhere between 16 and 40 pounds. All the carriers in this list have been tried by parent testers. During the testing process we considered comfort, ease of fit, adaptability for different body types, number of carrying positions, fabrics used, design and appearance, and extra features. We also asked testers if they felt the product was worth the money.

Let’s make this one big negative with a lot of little parts: as we tested it, the Beco Gemini carrier just didn’t feel comfortable at all. I have all sorts of reasons for that. For what it’s worth, not that I consider myself a baby whisperer, but Calvin didn’t seem to be a fan either. I don’t enjoy buying unnecessary stuff for my kids, so I wondered if I needed a toddler carrier for travel, or if I should just continue to carry my toddler in their regular baby carrier for travel. I can now speak from experience when I say, if you still carry your toddler frequently you won’t regret getting an appropriate toddler carrier. They are wider and taller making it more comfortable for both you and your toddler. It’s good to be a baby. You sleep, eat, and when you need to go somewhere, you get carrier there. Well, at least that’s true if your parents buy into the baby carrier boom. The product itself is well made, sturdy, and a lot easier than I initially thought it would be to hook up and get going. My son snuggles up inside comfortably and we can take our day hikes much easier now. 🙂LÍLLÉbabyCarryon Toddler Carrier– A versatile toddler carrier with adjustable features, lumbar support, and the ability to carry children from 20 to 60 pounds. I loved the wider and taller shape of the LÍLLÉbabyCarryon and found it so much more comfortable for both toddler and parent. Best Toddler Carrier for Long Use:

I adore the Manduca for 1month-olds up to 3-year-olds, making it ideal if you’re looking to carry a baby and a toddler! With very similar features, function and fit as the Lenny Lamb Preschool Carrier, the Manduca XT will easily fit Dads, and Mums from a UK size 6 to 24. Inside, you will also find included, a large pillow for impromptu outdoor naps, a sunroof and a mirror for a rear-view of your little rider! We spent over 250 hours testing 15 wraps, slings, and meh dais, and found that the Solly Baby Wrap and Sakura Bloom Basics Sling are the best for most people. Like all baby carriers we review, the Beco Gemini is part of the structured carrier type of equipment. That means it’s sturdy enough to be (and feel) safe for all recommended sizes. At Fathercraft, we don’t dabble in slings or anything else that seems like your little one is about to go tumbling. Some other facts:Compared to some other models we tested, the Beco has the least amount of padding in the shoulder straps and waist belt. Both of those sort of dig into your flesh, especially if you wear it for longer periods of time. I've traveled with babies and toddlers in every way possible, this includes traveling with a newborn, with a baby and a toddler, and with toddlers. I’ve been on road trips, long haul international flights, camping, hiking, city sightseeing, beaches, you name it. Kelty also makes a standard and lightweight version: Kelty PerfectFIT Signature and the Kelty Journey. The panel was plenty high for my 5 year old and the fabric was wide enough that his legs looked and felt supported. When I look at the images it appears that the seat is wider than the other two carriers even though the Líllébaby measures wider- this could mean it would be too wide for wearing the younger toddlers but it was perfect in our case. The padding at the edges is really thoughtful for the toddler’s comfort. I tend to go against the grain when it comes to trending items. I never had the chance to wear my sons in the Tula when they were babies because it was just starting to become available as my babywearing days were on the way out.
