Volume 2 - Chapter 1 “The Alchemist’s Suffering” offered chillingly powerful commentary on morality, societal pressures, and good vs. Sans compter ceux de l'armée avec qui ils sympathisent et qui vont apporter d'autres figures d'appui. However, I realized two things when I finished reading- 1: The library versions of the manga I checked out were ripped, stained, yellowing, missing volumes, and just not the best place to read while under lockdown, and 2: I wanted to own this series. Bon, le fait d'avoir vu la première adaptation récemment m'embrouille un peu et je ne peux pas m'empêcher de comparer. As the Day of Reckoning dawns, the Elric brothers, their father Hohenheim, and all of their allies battle to the death against the homunculi's 'father.

The characters are fantastic, very well rounded and developed even the ones that don't get a lot of screen time. Born in Hokkaido (northern Japan), Hiromu Arakawa first attracted national attention in 1999 with her award-winning manga STRAY DOG. The humor breaks up the deadly seriousness of the plotline at just the right moments so you never walk away feeling totally depressed, Except for a portion involving a certain father who shall remain unnamed and his poor daughter.It's an amazing read, if you stick with it, especially reading these 3-1 volumes lets you appreciate them more and i definitely recommend them too, they're funny and really grim at the same time and the Elric brothers are awesome so yes well worth picking this one up.

Hiromu Arakawa (author: 荒川弘) is a Japanese manga artist, best known for Fullmetal Alchemist (鋼の錬金術師 Hagane no renkinjutsushi). She loved this manga, she said the story was interesting and exciting and she is desperate for the next volume.
